1. Do Not Open This Test Booklet Until You Are Asked To Do So.

2. Fill the information required in the answer sheet. Your test may not be evaluated if the required details are not entered on the answer sheet.
3. Do not seek clarification on any item in the test booklet from anyone including the test invigilator or the centre supervisor. Use your best judgment.

4. This booklet consists of three sections, as given below :
a. Mathematics – 20 Questions
b. Science – 20 Questions
c. General Knowledge – 5 Questions
In case of any problem with your test booklet, inform the invigilator immediately. You will be provided with a replacement.

5. Each question carries 2 marks. Questions from 1 to 45 have one or more options right. To score full marks for each question, bubbles for all the right answer options should be shaded. Shading one or more wrong bubble/s make the answer wrong. No marks are given for partial answers.

6. Only BLACK/BLUE BALL POINT PEN is to be used for marking answers on OMR sheet. Do not use fountain pens/gel based pens or pencils. Remember that you cannot erase and re-shade the bubbles.
7. Use the margin in the test booklet for rough work. NO other piece of paper is permitted to be used for rough work.
8. NEGATIVE MARKS are not allotted to any question.
9. Failure to follow instructions and examination norms will lead to disqualification.
10.Complete the feedback form before you leave the examination hall.

05. The following are the directions where Beckham hit football during a training session. Measuring clockwise, identify the type of angles formed after the hit.

Shade bubble 1 for right angle, 2 for straight angle, 3 for obtuse angle, 4 for acute angle, 5 for reflex angle and 6 if no option is correct.

06. Vidya gave four unequal sticks to Wisden and asked him if he can form a quadrilateral such that

shade 1 for parallelogram, 2 for rhombus 3 for rectangle, 4 for trapezium, 5 for square, 6 for rectangle and shade 7 if Wisden cannot form a quadrilateral.

1. Following table shows the monthly expenditure of Imran’s family on various items.

Transport – 600
Miscellaneous – 1200

To represent this data in the form of a bar diagram, here are the steps.
(a) Draw two perpendicular lines, one vertical and one horizontal.
(b) Along the horizontal line, mark the ‘items’ and along the vertical line, mark the corresponding expenditure.
(c) Take bars of same width keeping uniform gap between them.
(d) Choose suitable scale along the vertical line. Let 1 unit length = Rs 200 and then mark the corresponding values.

Calculate the heights of the bars for various items given below.
i. House rent
ii. Food
iii. Education
iv. Electricity
v. Transport
vi. Miscellaneous

2. Vidya wonders why numbers one and zero are neither composite numbers nor prime numbers. Could you please explain to Vidya what can happen if they are either composite numbers or prime numbers? Use an example to punch your points.

3. Richa’s Grandma had 17 rings. Her will stipulated that upon her death Richa’s mother should receive one-half of her rings, her second daughter one-third, and Richa, the grandchild one-ninth. When Grandma died, the two daughters tried as hard as they could, but they could not figure out a way to divide 17 rings according to their mother’s wishes as they were not interested to have a piece cut from the ring. They asked Richa how they can settle the division.

6. Excess intake of fats is harmful to our body. What about other nutrients?
(1) What are the implications if we take too much of proteins or vitamins in diet?
(2) What should be the balanced diet for a 12 year old child living in India?

7. Write an email to your friend describing how power cuts for a long time would affect your day to day activities. Suggest environment friendly solutions you have in mind.

8. When Wisden visited Vidya yesterday, her mother offered him a glass of cold drink produced by a reputed company. Wisden politely told her mother that he won’t take fizzy drinks to avoid health issues in future. Instead, he asked for a cup of black tea.
