Mozart suffered illness throughout his life, including kidney disease, smallpox, typhoid fever, tonsillitis and strep throat. Almost all the above diseases have Vitamin D connection. This vitamin is a hormone derived from the steroid, cholesterol, but is not a steroid as the ring structure of cholesterol is opened.

Vitamin D is produced when skin is exposed to ultraviolet rays, and linked to many medical conditions and increases the risk of developing influenza, pneumonia, certain cancers, cardiovascular disease and musculoskeletal pain
