Q.6 The life of a bearing is normally distributed with an average value of 2000 hrs and a standard deviation of 100 hrs. What is the probability of a bearing that it fails between the 1964 hrs to 2016 hrs? (05)

Q.8 A pump has a useful life failure rate of 100 failure per 106 hours. A mean Wear out life of 10,000 hr. with a standard deviation of 2000 hr.
Assuming that the wear out failure distribution is normal, evaluate the reliability of the pump for (a) a 100 hr mission starting at the 9900 hour point of its life cycle and, (b) a similar mission starting 1000 hours Later. (10)
