2. There is a pair of ovaries in jemales situated in the lower abdomen. Each ovary in 3 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. Plant tissue culture is the technique of invitro maintainance & growth of plant cells, tissues or organs on a suitable artificial culture medium contained in small containers under controlled conditions.An excised fragment of tissue plant part used for raising a culture in called explant. It can be a part of root, stem, leaf, seed, embryo, embryosac, ovary, anthers etc. Explant in inoculated in cultur tube with culture medium. It is done in incubation chamber. These cells divide repcatedly & form a group of tissue. This undifferentiated group of tissues is called callus.
