** Candidates must be instructed that ruling by any means whatsoever is forbidden.
Theme A
Objects required : A plate containing two boiled eggs, a packet of salt, a packet of MDH
brand masala, a sauce bottle, a fork and a knife.
Arrangement : A half plate containing two boiled eggs is placed in front of the packets of
salt and masala. The sauce bottle is placed on the right side of the plate with its label facing

Objects required : A box of one dozen Camel Poster colour bottles (15 mL), four flat and
round brushes and a glass half filled with water.

INSTRUCTIONS
** This paper is for the use of the Supervisor only, in consultation with the Art Teacher.
** Attention is directed to the syllabus and to the Standing Instructions as given in the syllabus book.
** The Supervisor is asked to ensure that the candidate’s Unique Identification Number (UID), is
** written clearly on the top right-hand corner of the front surface of the paper.
** It may prove impossible to give marks for the work unless the Unique Identification
** Each candidate is required to fill in the OMR sheet as instructed and attach it to the front
** Any one of the two alternatives set below may be selected.
A. Objects Required :
An Electric Iron (for ironing clothes), a mug and a few crumpled clothes.
Arrange all the items on a wooden board in a close grouping to depict that ironing of clothes is about to
take place.
OR
B. Objects Required :
A tall flower vase, 2 or 3 cut flowers of your choice, a basket and a pair of scissors.
Stand the empty vase to one side. Put the flowers in a shallow basket with the pair of scissors in front
of the basket. Stand the basket to one side and at an angle to the vase. The scene should look as if
flowers are about to be arranged in the vase.
Technical Drawing Applications :
Time : Three hours
** Answers to this paper must be written on the paper provided separately.
** You will not be allowed to draw/write during the first 15 minutes.
** This time is to be spent in reading the question paper.
** The time given at the head of this paper is the time allowed for writing the answers.
** Attempt five questions in all.
** You must attempt three questions from Section A and two questions from Section B.
** Each Section should be answered on a separate paper.
** All questions must be answered in full scale.
** All construction lines must be shown.
** All dimensions are in millimetres unless specified otherwise.
** The intended marks for questions or parts of questions are given in brackets [ ].
Section A : (48 Marks)
** Answer any three questions from this Section.
Question 1 :
Construct a Parabola of 120 mm base and axis of 80 mm by the Tangent method. [16]
Question 2. :
(a) Construct a parallelogram ABCD having its perimeter = 240 mm. AB : BC = 5 : 3 and angle BAD = 60 . On side AD draw an equilateral triangle ADE. [8]
(b) Draw the front view, the top view and the left hand side view of a hexagonal right prism when its axis is parallel to the horizontal plane and parallel to the vertical plane. Two sides of the base are parallel to the horizontal plane. Use the THIRD ANGLE method of projection. [8]
