SECTION A
1. Describe various factors of origin of lakes in detail.
2. Give an account of the biological productivity and energy flow in lakes.
3. What is eutrophication- Describe the causes and control of eutrophication.

4. Write short notes on any two of the following :
(i) Light impinging on lakes.
(ii) Phosphorous cycle.
(iii) Limnological significance of benthos.
(iv) Effect of aquatic pollutants on fishes.

SECTION B
5. Describe various types of fishing gears used in India.
6. Give an account of the various means of affording care to the eggs and young ones by fishes.

7. Give an account of the swim bladder met in various groups of fishes along with its functions.
8. Write short notes on any two of the following :
(i) Sound producing organs of fishes.
(ii) Fish spoilage.
(iii) Composition of fish tissue.
(iv) Byproducts of fish industry.
