Section A : (Long Answer Questions)
Note : Answer any two questions. Each question carries 15 marks. 15 x 2 = 30
1- What do you understand by Comparative Politics – Define its nature.
2- What are the salient features of president system of Government – Discuss its merit and demerits.

3- Describe the meaning and importance of Direct Democracy.
4- American President is the most powerful person of the world. Discuss it.

1- Explain the emergency powers of Indian President.
2- Write short note on Parliamentary System.
3- Judicial Review in India.
4- Explain the characteristic of British Party System.
5- Explain merit and demerit of Two Party System.
6- Write a short note on Role of District Magistrate in Indian Administration.
7- Discuss the characteristic of Beaureacy.
8- Description of China President Powers.

Note : This paper is of sixty (60) marks divided into three (03) sections A, B, and C. Attempt the questions contained in these sections according to the detailed instructions given therein.

Section – A : (Long Answer Type Questions)
Note : Section ‘A’ contains four (04) long-answer-type questions of fifteen (15) marks each. Learners are required to answer any two (02) questions only. (2×15=30)
1. What do you mean by the term comparative political institations? Define its scepe and major problems.
2. Give a exmparative analysis of the federal system of USA and switzerland.
3. Compare the party system of USA and U.K.
4. “Switzerland is the home of Democracy”. Critically evaluate the instruments of Direct Democracy in the light of this statement.

Section – B : (Short Answer Type Questions)
Note : Section ‘B’ contains eight (08) short-answer-type questions of five (05) marks each. Learners are required to answer any four (04) questions only. (4×5=20)
1. Describe the features of French constitution.
2. Clasify the concept of Good Governance.

5. ‘American Constitution is based on the theory of seperation of powers’ explain the above statement.
6. American Senate is the most powerful second chamber of the world. Explain this statement.
7. Explain Judicial Review in America & India.
8. American President has become the most powerful ruler of the world. Explain it.

Section – C : (Objective Type Questions)
Note : Section ‘C’ contains ten (10) objective-type questions of one (01) mark each. All the questions of this section are compulsory. (10×1=10)
