Section – 1: Mathematics
1. Use 5 rough diagrams of a wall clock to indicate the time of 5 different activities you do in a day.
2. A lady purchased goods worth Rs. 200 from a shop selling goods without profit. The lady gives him 1000 rupees note. The shopkeeper gets the change from the next shop and keeps Rs. 200 for himself and returns Rs.800 to the lady. Later the shopkeeper of the next shop comes with the 1000 rupees note saying it is a fake note and took his money back. How much money did the shopkeeper lose?
3. A hotel serves 100ml milk to children below 12 years of age and 100ml of Tea which consists of 40 ml of milk to others. It is expected that 300 children below 12 years and 700 elders who came for the nearby temple festival are to have milk/tea from the hotel. If the hotel owner had 20 children and 110 elders as his regular customers, would 60 liters of milk be sufficient to serve everyone? Show your workings.
