5. Describe a case study of water polluting industry of your area and suggest methods to solve this problem. 10
6. What is Safe drinking water- What are different parameters which determine quality of drinking water- Describe different methods used for treatment of water to make it Safe for drinking.

8. What is difference between ionising and non-ionising radiations- Describe their role in environmental pollution with special reference to their effects on human beings 10.

(A) Sources of Oil-Spills and modern methods for their management.
(B) Noise pollution and human health.
10. Describe different sources of thermal pollution contributing to environmental hazards. Suggest methods for control of thermal pollution. 10
