Note : This paper is of sixty (60) marks divided into three (03) sections A, B, and C. Attempt the questions contained in these sections according to the detailed instructions given therein.

Section – A : (Long Answer Type Questions)
Note : Section ‘A’ contains four (04) long-answer-type questions of fifteen (15) marks each. Learners are required to answer any two (02) questions only. (2×15=30)
1. What is comparative politics? Describe the objects and problems of comparative politics.
2. Discuss the views of Almond and Powell regarding structural functional approach in comparative politics.
3. What is Political Socialization? Examine the various tools of socialization.
4. Do you think that the supremacy of the parliament is continuously declining? Discuss in detail.

Section – B : (Short Answer Type Questions)
Note : Section ‘B’ contains eight (08) short-answer-type questions of five (05) marks each. Learners are required to answer any four (04) questions only. (4×5=20)
1. Discuss the scope and utility of comparative politics.
2. Define constitutionalism and distinguish it from constitutional government.
3. Describe the importance of Direct Representation.
4. Discuss the various conditions of Political Participation.
5. Discuss the importance of pressure groups in modern politics.
6. Define Political Culture and discuss its importance in the study of comparative politics.
7. What is modernization? Distinguish it from development.
8. What is Judicial Activism? Give your views on it.

Section – C : (Objective Type Questions)
Note : Section ‘C’ contains ten (10) objective-type questions of one (01) mark each. All the questions of this section are compulsory. (10×1=10)
